Miles D. Monson has been practicing law since 1992. He is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington in both state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He first obtained his law license in Minnesota after graduating from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. Prior to private practice, Miles was Bankruptcy Counsel for ITT Consumer Financial Corporation and Assistant Secretary/Counsel for Lyndon Guaranty Bank of New York. Miles has served as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Debtor/Creditor Section of the Oregon State Bar Association and has served throughout the years in various other leadership positions for the debtor/creditor section.

He has extensive experience in representing financial institutions in state court and federal courts. He regularly represents lenders in state court, both in prosecuting claims and defending actions. He has also developed expertise in representing creditors in bankruptcy court, and Miles has successfully represented creditors in bankruptcy court and state and federal appellate courts.

Miles and his wife, Karen, live in Portland where they are active in both church and community affairs. Miles enjoys racquetball, golf, family, and boating.

Scott J. Mitchell focuses his legal practice on creditors’ issues, representing credit unions, banks, and other financial institutions and lenders in foreclosures, bankruptcies, and consumer litigation. He loves this area of practice, and enjoys helping clients with their legal issues.

Scott is licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington in both state and federal courts. Prior to obtaining his law license, Scott graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law with honors. At Gonzaga he served as a lead articles editor on the Gonzaga Journal of International Law, worked at the Spokane Valley City Attorney’s Office, and clerked for Judge Laurel Siddoway of the Washington State Court of Appeals.

Scott grew up in Portland, and married his high school sweetheart. He and his wife are now enjoying the challenges and rewards of raising five young children, and are involved in their church and community. Scott enjoys studying philosophy and language.
