Miles D. Monson
Miles D. Monson has been practicing law for over 30 years. He is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington in both state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He first obtained his law license in Minnesota after graduating from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN.
Prior to private practice, Miles was Bankruptcy Counsel for ITT Consumer Financial Corporation and Assistant Secretary/Counsel for Lyndon Guaranty Bank of New York. Miles served as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Debtor/Creditor Section of the Oregon State Bar Association and has served throughout the years in various other leadership positions for the debtor/creditor section. He has extensive experience of representing commercial creditors in state and federal courts, including receivership actions. He regularly represents lenders in state court, both in prosecuting claims and defending
actions. He has been called as an expert witness in federal and state courts for his knowledge and experience in foreclosure actions.
Miles and his wife, Karen, live in Portland where they are active in both church and community affairs. Miles enjoys racquetball, family, and
boating.

McKell R. Cook
McKell R. Cook focuses her practice on representing creditors in state, appellate, and federal bankruptcy courts in Oregon and Washington. She represents creditors in obtaining judgments, negotiating workouts, collection of judgments, recovery of collateral, and in defending creditors against consumer lawsuits and regulatory complaints.
Before she joined MONSON LAW OFFICE as an associate she was a law clerk for the firm and gained valuable experience in efficiently managing a case from start to finish. She has thoroughly enjoyed practicing in the creditor’s rights arena, especially collaborating with creditors and their customers to resolve their legal issues.
McKell attended Willamette University College of Law where she graduated with honors and a certificate in business law. While at Willamette, McKell served on the Willamette Public Interest Law Project board for two years, worked as a legal research and writing teaching assistant, and spent two semesters participating in the Willamette Immigration Clinic.
McKell hails from central Utah. She grew up regularly visiting the Pacific Northwest and always wanted to live here. She is thrilled to finally be living in the lush, rainy, PNW with her partner, tuxedo cat, and golden retriever. McKell enjoys going to concerts and comedy shows, camping, traveling, and re-discovering old hobbies.
